For Vanity Purposes will be Eric Raven’s second album. Since February of 2022, Raven has released two studio albums, multiple singles along with and soon to be six music videos. Thematically they have pushed the boundaries of sexuality, gender, social norms, and theatrics with every performance and release. Raven combines the old with the new, taking influence like David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Motionless in White and combines it with a refreshing horror fueled rage of the 21st century. Each song deals with overcoming addiction, depression, religion or self-love as a poc LGBTQ+ individual in modern America.

Raven’s newley released album For Vanity Purposes is a deep dive into the rise and fall of people who seek power, fame, greed. It’s a story of an individual that runs from their issues to achieve these goals only to find themself in worst circumstances. Losing the ones they love as well as themself. Sonically this is Raven’s heaviest music, blending local NJ hardcore influences with classics like Rob Zombie and Depeche Mode glued with a hip-hop attitude. In 2024 Raven has performed the entire east coast three times as well as hitting new territory in LA. In November they on a seven day east coast tour with DETHWISH to support of the new record. Online, Eric Raven continues to cultivate their fanbase through videos, collabs and photoshoots. Recently hitting 4k followers on Instagram, nearly 3k on tiktok and 1.2 monthly listeners on Spotify.
